Spay/Neuter Clinic Instructions: Hooksett, NH
AWARE of NH is excited to announce we will provide cost-effective spay/neuter services for both male and female cats in our new surgical suite in Hooksett NH.
Before the Surgery
- Withhold food from cats over four months old starting at midnight prior to the day of surgery and from kittens under four months old after 6am on the day of surgery. Water can be given.
- Ensure each cat is in a clean, secure carrier with a towel or a small blanket inside. Only one cat per carrier, please.
On the Day of Surgery
- Drop-off Location: AWARE of NH at 171 Londonderry Turnpike #5, Hooksett, NH 03106. #5 is in the back of building.
- Drop-off Time: Your drop-off time will be provided when you schedule your appointment, as times may vary depending on the clinic date. Drop off time is generally as early as 8 AM or late as 9 AM depending on the clinic but an exact time will be provided to you when you book appointment.
- Your pet will be:
- Spayed/neutered
- Given rabies and/or distemper/FVRCP vaccines (unless proof has been shown as up-to-date)
- Given treatment for fleas and ear mites if needed and if not already treated in the 30 days before the clinic
- Given a nail trim
- Microchipped (at an additional charge if selected by the pet owner during checkout)
- Pick-up Time: We will provide an estimated pickup time at drop off. We will also send a message by approx 12 PM on the day of your appointment with your scheduled pick-up time. Pick-up is typically scheduled between 1 PM and 3 PM, but times may vary based on the number of cats we are working with.
- Aftercare: discharge instructions will be given when you pick up your pet and you are free to ask any questions at that time.
