Spay/Neuter Clinic Instructions: Dogs

AWARE of NH is excited to announce we will provide cost-effective spay/neuter services for dogs in our surgical suite in Hooksett, NH.

Before the Surgery

  • Withhold food from dogs starting at midnight prior to the day of surgery. Water can be given.
  • Dogs must be on a leash.
  • When you arrive, please come into the clinic to check in without your dog. Once your paperwork is all set, we’ll let you know when it’s time to bring them inside. Before heading in, please take your pup for a quick potty walk and be sure to clean up any messes.
  • To help ensure a smooth recovery, an E-collar (Elizabethan collar) is required. Please bring one with you at check-in. We’ll make sure it’s properly fitted on your pet after surgery.

On the Day of Surgery

  • Drop-off Location: AWARE of NH at 171 Londonderry Turnpike #5, Hooksett, NH 03106. #5 is in the back  of building.
  • Drop-off Time: Drop off time is 7:45 AM
  • Your pet will be:
    • Spayed/neutered
    • Given rabies and/or distemper vaccines (unless proof has been shown as up-to-date)
    • Given a nail trim
    • Microchipped (at an additional charge if selected by the pet owner during checkout)
  • Pick-up Time: We will provide an estimated pickup time at drop off. Pick-up is typically scheduled between 1 PM and 2 PM, but times may vary based on the number of animals we are working with.
  • Aftercare: discharge instructions will be given when you pick up your pet and you are free to ask any questions at that time.
